Since trading in my couch for a Winnebago Revel (and now an Amazing Super C), I’ve been winding my way across the U.S. on a mission to ride dirt, camp cheap, and see what happens when you learn to mountain bike at 47.
This page tracks the whole journey — where I’ve been, where I’m going, and everything in between: from loamy descents and campground coffee rituals to those glorious “Did I just sleep next to a dumpster?” moments.

How I Travel
How I TravelThousand Trails. Boondocking. Gas station snacks. (Sometimes in that order.)
I’m using a Thousand Trails membership to reset between MTB marathons, adding Loam Pass and IMBA Epic rides when I can. I started in a Winnebago Revel and upgraded to a Grand Design Lineage Super C. A bit much? Maybe! But I’m loving it.

Former lawyer, CEO, ski instructor and scuba instructor — now just a guy dumb enough to learn mountain biking and van life at the same time. Traveling the U.S. in a Winnebago Revel, crashing trails and chasing coffee with questionable decision-making and a GoPro. Some say I’ve made questionable choices…I guess the amount of the future hospital bills will settle that debate.
