🏡 Memberships for Sale
Choice
NO HIGH-USE RESTRICTIONS IN FLORIDA. This legacy membership carries a written VIP exemption from high-use restrictions at every park in the system except four named parks — none of them in Florida. Verified directly with Thousand Trails. That means booking Florida all winter, in-network, without Trails Collection Plus, on a benefit TT no longer sells. The membership: 86 parks — all 82 Thousand Trails preserves nationwide plus four Encore parks (Plymouth Rock, Tranquil Timbers and Yukon Trails in Wisconsin; Twin Mills in Indiana — the Wisconsin parks virtually open up an entire state with otherwise limited TT coverage). 180-day advance booking window (shown on the TT member portal), 21-night stays extendable to 28 (two $29 extensions per year), unlimited nights in-network, park-to-park travel, 2 holiday reservations plus 1 guest holiday reservation per year. Getaway Club unit rentals $49/night. Upgrade history, with full paperwork back to 1991: Gold Card (1991) → Platinum → VIP (2006) → ChoiceVacation (2013). Transfers to the buyer as a ChoiceVacation with a $750 TT transfer fee; buyer's dues are $775/year. The underlying Platinum contract survives future transfers, so the membership retains real resale value. Ty consulted on this membership personally, reviewed the complete contract stack, and phone-verified the posted details with Thousand Trails.

- Purchased Basic membership, upgraded to Platinum Plus at that time. - Selling because our home is not near any TTN locations and we are getting too old to do much RVing.

UPDATE: I confirmed with Thousand Trails that any inquiring person can get details of the membership from them. I also confirmed that *all benefits from my membership* will transfer over to a new buyer except for the ability to freeze dues (which I did not know I had). The dues would begin at $775 for 50 Nights and $1,400.00 for the Unlimited plan Transfer fee is $1,000, paid for by buyer. —- Just sold my RV, so selling TT membership. This membership is ideal for someone wanting the 210 day reservation advantage. I have copies of the original contract I purchased. I am waiting for the membership benefits confirmation letter from Thousand Trails. Thank you!

We are no longer physically able to travel park to park. We started in 1998 and the time has come to give up set up & tear down. It’s been fun & we enjoyed our time at many camping resorts. We have never had any issues getting reservations. Hershey is a high usage park, but we always got in. Someone else can take it from here.
Elite (Basic) + Alliance
We have an elite Basic membership that has transfer rights as we were grandfathered in when they bought the Blue Mesa Resort in Gunnison.

We enjoyed so much using this membership for many years, I just can not keep up with the maintenance of a motorhome and towing a car. We have not used the TT membership for a couple of years and just thought it was time to pass this on. This is one of the only ones left that has unlimited transfers, and the membership can be paused if not going to use it, after the minimum membership time is met. Please contact me I will answer any questions.

My sister and I each inherited the membership from our parents when they passed. We have been living in the same household since 2009 and only found out recently that we only need one membership between us so I am selling mine. My parents loved the 210 day booking window so they were sure to get a spot somewhere warm in the winter. Since it's an alliance membership, it can be sold, transferred or willed indefinitely. The yearly dues for 50 nights will be $750 or unlimited $1400. For more information you can contact TT transfer department.
Ultimate Odyssey
Important transfer information: The buyer will not receive the original owner's frozen-dues benefit, and after this transfer the membership cannot be transferred again. Buyer is encouraged to verify all benefits and current terms directly with Thousand Trails before purchase. Serious inquiries only. We can provide the applicable membership documentation and work directly through the Thousand Trails transfer process. We were traveling full time. Have settled back down to help daughter with our grandbaby. We are selling our motorcoach and ATC trailer. No longer will be using this TT membership for camping. (We are considering a boating contract now 🙂
Ultimate Odyssey
I am selling this on behalf of my dad. He and my mom decided to be full-time RVers back in 2017 and bought the Ultimate Oddyssey and added the Trails Collection. They traveled for five years before their health issues wouldn’t allow them to travel full-time any longer. Now my dad is in assisted living and can’t use the membership any more. After paying the transfer fee, your new dues will be $775 - verified by TT - and you will have the ability to add on the Trails Collection for $475/yr. to add even more campgrounds. Also, I have verified with TT that this particular membership is transferrable again if you want to sell it later.

Our Thousand Trails Experience ❤️ We started full-time RVing in 2023 with a tiny house on wheels, and one of our biggest concerns was whether we would actually be able to find places that would accommodate us. We reached out to Thousand Trails, and they were able to approve us to stay at their parks. That was such a huge peace of mind for our little family! Full-time RVing was definitely a work in progress, but we were able to stay at many Thousand Trails parks, as well as properties through the Trails Collection and their affiliates. Overall, we were really happy with our experience—not only because of how much money the membership saved us, but because we generally felt safe at the parks and found them to be well maintained. Some of the parks are a little dated, but we loved that there were locations in places we actually wanted to visit! We especially loved Crystal River. It's right next to Three Sisters Springs, and from November through March, you can drive just a couple of minutes from the RV park and go swimming with the manatees! 🐬 It was such a fun and memorable experience. Another favorite was Moody Beach in Maine. We went in early October, and it was gorgeous. The park was very close to the beach, and they had fun Halloween activities and everything. We had such a great time! We decided to have another baby last year, so our full-time traveling days have been put on hold for now. Rather than letting all the benefits we purchased go unused, we'd love to pass the membership along to another family who can enjoy it as much as we did. We genuinely loved our time traveling with Thousand Trails and hope another family gets to make some amazing memories with this membership! ❤️ Feel free to ask us any questions about our travels, the parks we've stayed at, or the membership itself. We're happy to share our experience and help however we can!

I’m new to this and I was looking into buying a new adventure packet which currently offering 1500 off for 4 years. When I did the math it was like $13 k for 4 years and I’m not ready to spend that with knowing I’m not ready to travel a lot till next year. I’m sure yearly there are specials but I think I need to look more into used plan

Gold Card (~1990) + Alliance
We have decided to sell our Thousand Trails Gold (National) membership with Alliance program benefits for $1,750 with buyer paying the transfer fee of $463. This is a rarely available legacy membership with some special provisions that have been confirmed with the TT transfer department. We've authorized TT to reconfirm these benefits with prospective buyers by calling 800-388-7788 and selecting option 4 (transfer department). Here are the important terms of this Gold/Alliance Nationwide package: We currently have the recreational option selected which includes 50 nights of camping for annual dues of $846. Additional nights beyond 50 can be purchased at $2 per night. There is a 14 day maximum stay, but you can immediately go to another campground (Park to Park). The new buyer will have the option to upgrade to the unlimited nights' package for $1,450 in annual dues. The advance booking window is 210 days. It's defined as 30 days more than the maximum offered by TT. This window will become extremely valuable with TT going to their new site-specific reservation system so you can reserve a specific site or one with full hookups. Our membership can be transferred an unlimited number of times. The transfer fee is $463 to be paid by the buyer directly to TT. Nationwide camping includes 58 campgrounds. At the time our contract was purchased in 1991, these were all of the Thousand Trails & NACO preserves (the original binder with full detail on those preserves will go to the buyer). There have been some additions and deletes to that list over time. The full list of included resorts is available upon request. The buyer can opt to add the Trails Collection for all Encore Parks to camp at those additional parks at an additional annual fee. The buyer can also add the RPI campgrounds. Contact TT for more details including cost for the Trails Collection and RPI. Message me if you need any clarifications or have interest in purchasing.

Exchange FAQ
What is The Thousand Trails Exchange?
The Thousand Trails Exchange is a free, independent board where current members list Thousand Trails memberships for sale and buyers post what they’re looking for. No brokers, no commissions — sellers keep 100% of their price, and every listing is personally reviewed before it goes up. Selling? Listing takes about five minutes. Buying? Set a free alert and get an email when a match hits the board.
Can I sell my Thousand Trails membership?
Some Thousand Trails memberships can be sold and transferred — many cannot. It depends entirely on your specific contract. Many Elite memberships transfer once; some contracts can transfer multiple times, and the rules can be genuinely confusing. The fastest way to find out is to call Thousand Trails directly and ask for the transfer department — they will tell you for free what your contract allows. Want help thinking through your options? Book a consultation with Ty.
What benefits transfer with a Thousand Trails membership?
Not all benefits transfer. Some do and some do not — and sometimes even Thousand Trails is not sure. That is why having a lawyer like Ty review your paperwork can offer a huge benefit. While Ty does not offer legal advice — only marketing advice — he can help direct you to which benefits may or may not transfer with your contract. Talk to Ty.
How much is a used Thousand Trails membership worth?
It varies widely with the contract type, annual fees, and the benefits that actually transfer. For real numbers from real transfers, see How Much Does a Used Thousand Trails Membership Cost?
How do I buy a used Thousand Trails membership?
Browse the board, or set a free buyer alert and get an email the moment a listing matches what you are looking for. Before any money moves, do your homework — start with the buyer's due-diligence guide.
Should I use a broker to buy or sell?
These memberships can be complicated — see our guide to the many membership types — and both buyers and sellers are sometimes tempted to hand the whole thing to a broker. We have nothing against brokers as a category: one who genuinely facilitates transactions with openness and transparency performs a valuable service. But this niche has attracted its share of complaints, and public reviews of some of the most prominent resale brokers describe experiences that should give you pause. So before you engage any broker, do three things: look up their Better Business Bureau rating, read all their Google reviews — not just the star average — and ask about them in a Thousand Trails Facebook group. Ten minutes of homework will tell you most of what you need to know. And if a broker leads with “we’re licensed,” ask the follow-up: licensed by whom, to do what? Depending on the state and the license, that can mean real oversight — or little more than paperwork filed correctly. A license is not the answer; it is the start of your questions. (The Exchange exists so you can skip this decision entirely — listings are free, and buyers and sellers deal with each other directly.)
Is the Exchange affiliated with Thousand Trails?
No. The Thousand Trails Exchange is an independent listing board operated by Live Free RV, LLC. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Thousand Trails or its parent company.
