NO HIGH-USE RESTRICTIONS IN FLORIDA. This legacy membership carries a written VIP exemption from high-use restrictions at every park in the system except four named parks — none of them in Florida. Verified directly with Thousand Trails. That means booking Florida all winter, in-network, without Trails Collection Plus, on a benefit TT no longer sells. The membership: 86 parks — all 82 Thousand Trails preserves nationwide plus four Encore parks (Plymouth Rock, Tranquil Timbers and Yukon Trails in Wisconsin; Twin Mills in Indiana — the Wisconsin parks virtually open up an entire state with otherwise limited TT coverage). 180-day advance booking window (shown on the TT member portal), 21-night stays extendable to 28 (two $29 extensions per year), unlimited nights in-network, park-to-park travel, 2 holiday reservations plus 1 guest holiday reservation per year. Getaway Club unit rentals $49/night. Upgrade history, with full paperwork back to 1991: Gold Card (1991) → Platinum → VIP (2006) → ChoiceVacation (2013). Transfers to the buyer as a ChoiceVacation with a $750 TT transfer fee; buyer's dues are $775/year. The underlying Platinum contract survives future transfers, so the membership retains real resale value. Ty consulted on this membership personally, reviewed the complete contract stack, and phone-verified the posted details with Thousand Trails.

✍ Ty’s TakeFor the right buyer — anyone who intends to spend winters in Florida — this is a rare and awesome membership, and the reason is simple: no high-use restrictions in Florida. I had the privilege of consulting with Kathryn on this membership and personally called Thousand Trails to vet what's posted here. That written exemption is a legacy benefit with no current-term equivalent, and one of the few ways to winter in Florida in-network without Trails Collection Plus — if TT raises TC/TC+ pricing the way I suspect it will, that alone keeps this membership viable for snowbirds. The Wisconsin Encore parks virtually open up an entire state with otherwise limited TT coverage. And when the Choice layer eventually peels on a future transfer, the Platinum underneath keeps going — real resale value most listings can't offer. Candidly, if I were doing more than one season in Florida, I'd strongly consider buying it myself.
